Vermox Generic Mebendazole, an Anthelmintic or anti-worm medicine; stops worms from growing in the body. Vermox is also used to treat infections caused by worms such as whipworm, pinworm, roundworm, hookworm, and destroys parasitic worms by blocking glucose uptake. Without glycogen, parasite cannot stay alive and replicate.
Vermox may be used maximum up to 3 days before the the worm the worm is removed and after treatment from your stomach and intestines. If the infection has not been cleared within maximum use of Vermox for 3 weeks, your Doctor may recommend a second round of treatment, if necessary.
Pinworm infections are contagious and can be spread easily. To thwart re-infection, bathroom and toilets must be sanitized everyday. Clothing and other linen should be washed in hot water daily.
Vermox may also be used for purposes other than those listed above.
